A bloodied Mark Walsh was at least able to walk away from an early fall off favourite Itsallhappening in the first division of the Follow @tipperaryraces.ie Handicap Hurdle. Chosen Hour was the surprise victor of this three miler under Danny Mullins.
T J Nagle's Chosen Hour (20/1) displayed good reserves of stamina to defeat Colette's Choice (25/1) by three and a quarter lengths.
"He was unlucky not to win a four year old maiden point to point at Dromahane one day when he came down at the second last and this wasn't much of a race today," said Nagle.
"It was a weak race and he needed the step up to this trip and the cheek-pieces were also a help. He likes this ground and we'll tip away with him now."
Unfortunately it later transpired that Mark Walsh has suffered a suspected fractured cheek bone.
D.J. Mullins, rider of Cant Wait trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung in running.
R.A. Doyle, rider of Waste Of Time trained by P.Meany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was lame pulling up after the race.
