Sixpack exploited bottom-weight in the extended mile and a-half handicap at Roscommon.
The son of Sea The Moon had his rivals on the stretch on the run to the final furlong and began to assert 150 yards out.
The chasers couldn't make any inroads and Ben Coen sent him home by a length and three-parts at 10/3 for Johnny Murtagh. Ameerat Jumaira kept on for second at 9/1, a neck up on Jabbar (3/1f).
Coen said: “He was good, it probably suited a bit better today as we went a nicer gallop.
“I got the gaps when I needed them and he hit the line strong. I think nicer ground is a help to him as well and, hopefully, he can step forward from that.
“He had a very good run last time, but it was a bit of a messy race - they went slow and he wasn't able to get out when he needed to. Everything went right today, so it was nice.”
The Raceday Stewards interviewed John Joseph Hanlon, trainer of Eikonix (GB), concerning the conduct of this horse who refused to race once the stalls opened. John Joeseph Hanlon stated that his charge has never shown tendencies like this at home and is very disappointed in his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards, using their powers under Rule 14, suspended Eikonix from running for 30 days.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eikonix (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
