The Murdock Building Supplies Maiden at Dundalk today was a Jockeys' Championship 'six-pointer' with eventual winner Indianapolis (7/2) defeating 1/4 favourite Would Be King to help leader Donnacha O'Brien extend his narrow lead over Colin Keane, rider of the beaten 'jolly'.

Indianapolis wore down Would Be King in the closing stages when scoring his half-length win, which moved jockey O'Brien to the 46 winner mark for the season, two clear of current Champion Jockey Keane.

Champion Trainer Aidan O'Brien sent out Indianapolis to win, and afterwards his son and this year's English 2,000 Guineas, English Oaks and Irish Derby winning jockey Donnacha O'Brien said "he had an OK run the last day so he has obviously learned plenty from then. The step back in trip obviously didn't pose too much of a problem.

"Yes I think so (could go back up in trip) - Galileo should have put a bit of stamina into him so I'm thinking the step up in trip would suit him again.

"It's nice to get a win into him."
