Oisin McSweeney, successful earlier on Unterberg completed a double when the Jennifer Lynch-trained Prince Of Abingdon landed division one of the 47-65 handicap.
Towards the rear of the field turning for home, the six-year-old made good headway on the far side to challenge inside the final furlong. The Cola Brasil had made a sweeping move to the front on the near side but he drifted left in the closing stages and was headed close home by the winner who scored by a head.
A dual winner at two for Jane Chapple-Hyam, this was a first success since for six-year-old Prince Of Abingdon, a drifter in morning betting to 33/1 before being returned at 10/1.
McSweeney said: "He was doing all his best work late on. Barry (Cash, owner) and Jenny told me beforehand that that's what he will do. He just likes to pass horses.
"Barry said 'if you're going to get beat, I'd rather you not get there than get there too soon.' I definitely didn't get there too soon! He was delighted, so it is good when it comes off.
"It would be nice to see him go on and get a good confidence booster and step forward again. His last run wasn't too bad and it was great for him to get his head in front, so hopefully it gives him a bit of a chance."
