Following on from their success here yesterday with Kristian Goingwel, Oliver McKiernan and Barry Browne struck again this afternoon courtesy of Glenabo Bridge (11/1) in the Ladbrokes Giving Extra Places Every Day Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown.

With a first-time tongue-strap and blinkers as well for the initial occasion, Queen Of Fame was the surprise package of this marathon test, coming home in second place at 100/1.

However it was Seangoell that gave Glenabo Bridge most trouble. The winner got the better of that rival from before the last and kept going well enough to beat Queen Of Fame by four and three parts of a length.

Seangoell ended up in third, two and a quarter lengths behind.

“I actually missed the start but it worked out in my favour because they went some gallop early on,” said Browne.

“He ground it out well, he stays really well and is tough. He did it well in the end.

“He never really gives himself much of a chance with the handicapper because he always runs good races.

“I'm only back since Wednesday so to get two winners in two days is great.”

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballea Fox (GB), trained by Seamus Spillane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

K.J. Brouder, rider of Get Home trained by Olivia Hegarty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost two front shoes during the running of this race.
