Upped in trip to three miles for the first time, Its Not Over Yet produced a career best performance to win the Cappawhite CE Handicap Hurdle.
No better than sixth in eight previous starts, the Oliver McKiernan-trained five-year-old was sent off a 14/1 chance with Phillip Enright aboard.
Settled in mid-division on the outer, the Califet bay made gradual progress on the final circuit and came with her challenge between horses after jumping two out.
Ridden in second away from the last, the 86-rated victor got to the front inside the final 150 yards, keeping on well from there to score by half-a-length.
In front before two out, Meehall (7/1) wasn't fluent at the last and ultimately had to settle for second under Conor McNamara for his father Eric, two-and-a-half lengths in front of Moyvilla Lass (13/2) in third.
There was another two-lengths back to Ranger Billy (9/1 from 16s early) in fourth, while Tullyhogue Fort who was returned the 6/1 favourite in this wide-open affair, finished ninth.
"She's a small little filly but she jumped well and kept galloping to the line," Enright commented.
"She's from the family of Gallant John Joe so it's great for her breeding. Hopefully she can improve a bit from that and pick up another one."
STEWARDS REPORT
E.M. O'Sullivan, rider of Appian Way (FR), trained by Robert Widger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never jumped fluently.
