The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Summer Fillies Premier Handicap at The Curragh today saw Headford View score a fourth career success for Navan based trainer James Halpin.

The daughter of Bold Fact was held up by Fran Berry, eventually getting her head in front in the closing strides, to score a short head win over Hallie's Comet

Afterwards Halpin stated “Fran (Berry) probably held onto Headford View a little longer than was planned but he said he was going to wait for as long as he could!”

He added “she's a determined mare and is all heart. This race had been the plan for some time and although she's entered in a Group 3 race at Fairyhouse next Wednesday, that entry was only precautionary. Ideally she'd prefer ground a little better than today's.”
