Jessica Harrington saddled her 16th winner of a golden three-week spell as Punita Arora came home best in the fillies' auction maiden in Navan.

This success gave Harrington and jockey Shane Foley a double on the card as they also landed the opener with Leo De Fury

Punita Arora was badly hampered leaving the stalls in this five-furlong sprint as Glow Worm in stall one veered left and collided with her, leaving her to race towards the rear.

She then had to be switched out passing the two pole to try and deliver her challenge.

She began to cut into the lead and came home strongly on the outer to hit the front inside the final 150 yards.

The even-money favourite increased the advantage to a length and a half at the line from 3/1 shot Glow Worm. Lady Penelope was a further half a length away in third at 5/1.

“That was a bit scary and Shane said he very nearly fell off,” Jessica Harrington said.

“She was good, everything went wrong and she still managed to go and do it. The experience she got last week stood to her and she stayed on strongly so I'm delighted with that.

“We've no plans but she can go back up to six furlongs and she might even stay seven furlongs.”
