Jessica Harrington's celebrations continued at Down Royal as Bright Tomorrow scored twenty minutes after the Gold Cup triumph of Sizing John
In the aftermath of a historic victory for the yard at Prestbury Park the victory in the Guinness Rated Novice Chase gave the trainer success on home-soil on a memorable day.
Mark Bolger gave the 5/1 shot a positive ride and was in front after a few fences.
He had 5/4 favourites Crest at work jumping the third last and stayed on stoutly in the closing stages to record a two-length success.
"Not a bad half hour for Mrs Harrington!” said Bolger afterwards.
“I was just saying that's our Gold Cup there now. He's probably been disappointing over fences to date. The better ground helped him here today and it was a lot better than what he has been running on. He'll improve again off that.
"He deserved to win. I didn't really want to be in front but he jumped so well I didn't interfere with him and he kept going all the way up the straight.
"Even better ground again will suit him, that was on the slow side for him. He won his hurdle race in Wexford on proper good summer ground, so you would like to think that if the ground does dry up properly there will be another few days in him."
Interestingly the horses came home first to sixth in race-card order.
