The once-raced Serialise took a significant step forward from her sole juvenile outing when making just about all the running to win the concluding Twydil/Clovelly Irish EBF Fillies Maiden at Naas.
Well beaten on her only two-year-old run at the Curragh last October, the filly looked a totally different proposition here as she led from the outset and found plenty when pressed close home.
Out of luck when his mount Sea Chariot slipped up in the previous race, Foley kicked for home over two furlongs out, as both Settlement and Siege Of Troy gave chase.
With the latter having no more to give from the furlong pole, it was the Johnny Murtagh trained Siege Of Troy who finished strongest of all under Ben Coen.
However, Serialise kept finding plenty for Foley, holding on to win by a neck.
Jessica Harrington said: “They all lined up behind her and had a go at her but she toughed it out.
“Shane said she was green enough in front, she was having a good look.
“She was big and backward last year but has come forward this year and got her act together.
“She wants that quick ground and I’ve been waiting for about three weeks.
“I’d say we’ll stay at a mile as she’s a Footsteps.”
