Doyle off cold trainers list as Annie scores
Annie Other (9/1) got Pat Doyle off the cold trainers listed as she got up close home to win the Borro Mares Flat Race under Roger Quinlan. Moncherie under Matt O’Connor made a bold bid for victory as she lead from the get go and continued to do so until a furlong out as Glibin for local trainer Colin Bowe took it up from there, but she couldn't hold off the winner who came late to score.
Winning trainer Pat Doyle from Co Tipperary said afterwards "That's a relief, its been nearly 900 days since my last winner, Kilcrea Castle in December of '08 at Punchestown.
"She is a nice mare with a good pedigree and she will go for a maiden hurdle next.
"Tim O’Leary her owner, is my farrier from Castlelyons, Co Cork. He had Corrieann who won twice here in Wexford in '05 and'‘07."
