A large contingent from the Up The Blues Syndicate were in full voice to cheer Daonethatgotaway home in Race 4 at Dundalk.

The 3/1 shot rolled home best of all under Keithen Kennedy and was able to fend off 7/4 favourite Tribal Moon by three-parts of a length in this apprentice handicap over a mile. Market-mover Saxon Kingdom (10/1) came home third, beaten two lengths by the winner.

Mark Fahey said: "It is a local syndicate, it is the local club Monasterevin. Mark Kelly runs it and all the boys used to play for Monasterevin - Keithen, who rode him today, and Ronan Whelan all used to play football for Monasterevin.

"It is a complete local success and it is like a county final!

"He had a right chance and it was mighty and it all worked out. We got a good crew of them up there, so they all enjoyed it."
