Cyclone blows rivals away
Hidden Cyclone cruised to victory in the novice hurdle at Navan, fully justifying his short price in the stayer's event.
The step up to 2m7f proved no problem for 'Shark' Hanlon's charge as he sauntered to a 13-length victory under Andrew McNamara.
The 4/11 favourite settled in behind the leaders before taking closer order turning for home.
He went to the front after the third last and when McNamara gave him his head approaching the last he scooted clear to seal the deal from a hard ridden Fists Of Fury
It was a hat-trick success for the son of Stowaway, whose only defeat has been in Grade One company.
"I was delighted with that today. He jumped the way I wanted him to," said Hanlon.
"He really shouldn't have been here but for the way he jumped at Thurles last time.
"We've worked a lot with him at home to get his head right. Andrew said for the first time he behaved himself."
The winner is now set for the paddocks before a chasing campaign next season and Hanlon added:-
"Next year is another year but we've had a good year this year."
