Bose Ikard followed up on a recent win over fences at Roscommon as he took the three mile Thatch Bar Katies Kitchen Handicap Hurdle under Davy Condon for Noel Meade.
The six-year-old gelding, who is rated seventeen pounds higher over fences, was sent off a 7/1 chance this evening.
Settled in mid-division he improved into fifth before the third last and was soon ridden.
He came with his challenge between the last two and hit the front at the final flight before keeping on well from there to score by two and a half lengths. Your Busy ran a fine race to finish second under Thomas Doran for James Nash at 14/1 while Corrick Bridge (8/1) was half a length back in third under Shane Shortall for Tony Martin. Hero De Villeneuve who won at Downpatrick on Monday, was sent off the 5/2 favourite but he could only manage seventh under Andrew Lynch for Robbie Hennessy.
Noel Meade said afterwards: "I thought he'd win as he was better in here than he was over fences and he won well the last day.
"He loves fast ground. I left him in tomorrow at Down Royal and we'll see what he's like in the morning."
