Berry shines on Mount
Fran Berry judged his run well to score aboard Mount Abora in the first division of the mile handicap at Dundalk. Footprint looked set for victory when leading just inside the final furlong but he couldn't hold the late run of Charles O'Brien's charge.
She wore down her rival in the final 50 yards to record a three-parts-of-a-length victory.
The winner was backed on track from 13/2 into 5/1 while the runner-up Footprint was the other one for money (11/2 into 4/1 favourite).
"She's not bad on her day and has won in Cork before. Charles said she wants a furlong further but they went a good gallop today which suited her," said Berry afterwards.
"The plan is to take her to the Tattersalls Breeding Stock Sale in December and she'll come back here before that," added O'Brien.
