He's had bits of issues and little bits of problems since Christmas, but I just thought in the last couple of weeks he has come good.

He won two chases and I suppose he crept up the ratings and struggled a bit. He loves the muck and Simon has a great understanding for him,. It might be wrong to have favourites but I get a great kick out of getting a winner in those colours. J.P. and his family have been hugely supportive of me in the last few years - I only have one or two for them but they are very good to me and I really appreciate it.

That horse is not the easiest ride and is better ridden patiently. I thought Simon gave him a really, really good ride.

After race at Fairyhouse Mon, 8th Feb, 2021 (1st)
That's great. He's been a little bit unlucky for me. He was second in a couple of maiden hurdles and his hurdle rating was a bit too high, he just wasn't going to win off it so we went back over fences. He got brought down in Ballinrobe and two-and-a-half in Clonmel was a bit far for him. The real heavy ground was catching him out and Simon said it didn't feel too bad out there today. I think the ground is the secret with him. I'm delighted and it's great to get a winner. I'll have to speak to Frank (Berry, racing manager) but I'd imagine he would go for a two mile novice handicap at Gowran Park in two weeks time.
