Waittillitellyou leads home Cawley one-two
Waittillitellyou (9/1) shot clear on the run-in to win the second split of the 80-102 Meath Farm Machinery Handicap Hurdle in Navan. Tue 22nd Feb
After race at Navan Sun, 9th Feb, 2025 (1st)
We had him fit to run, I suppose, in October, but he is a horse that broke down very badly on me as a five-year-old. I have to wait until I get his right ground - he loves it bottomless. I thought they would call it off that day he won in Cork, he can't have it deep enough. I thought it might be just too tacky for him here today because it is quite tacky. He was mighty through it, he absolutely loved it. He's a huge, big horse. If Fairyhouse at Easter turned up minimum soft, he might go there.

He has had his own little problems so you couldn't race him on good ground. He was ready to run at Christmas but my horses were coughing, so I left him alone, and then we were getting summer ground for a while, which I couldn't believe. I was delighted to see the recent rain coming. He'll need a dig in the ground to run next at Fairyhouse but that's where we'll go if we can get him in.

After race at Navan Tue, 22nd Feb, 2022 (1st)
I thought I had a chance in the first (division, with Misty Hollow 10th and Two For The Road 11th) and after that I thought 'ah that's it, it's all gone'. He ran well enough in Naas but he just stopped on him, it was his first run of the year. I was waiting to get soft ground as he had leg trouble going way back. There was no easy ground since two months before Christmas and I was wondering if we'd ever get it. We were half thinking of letting him back into the field. He's a great big horse, if he could just put him together. JJ said he jumps and then he'd go to take off on you, then he'd settle again. Hopefully he'll settle down the road. He hasn't had that many runs because we had various problems. Coming here today I thought if he didn't run reasonably well we'd be looking for another job for him. Hopefully he might get another one somewhere along the line.
