After race at Cork Fri, 28th Jul, 2023 (1st)  we have had Vain Gloria since she was a yearling and she has now run twice in ten days which mightn't have been the plan originally. I ran another Kodi Bear filly in this race last year, which had won at Ballinrobe, but had the first and second in the Cambridgeshire in front of me so said we wouldn't bother this year. However the race didn't fill and was reopened at 12.15pm last Monday so I entered. She came out of Killarney great, hadn't done much between races and seemed in great form. It was great she backed it up today and beat horses rated 10lb higher than the last day. She is a lovely filly and I won't be in a hurry now but she'll go for a black-type race next. P Twomey

After race at Killarney Tue, 18th Jul, 2023 (1st)  First time out you never know but I was hoping she'd run a nice race. She is a nicely bred filly and her mother is a sister to a couple of very good horses. I was hoping she'd run a nice race and come forward and she has done that so we'll look for a winners' race. A half-sister won a bumper but I wouldn't mind that as it shows they are good and tough. She has been with us since she was a yearling, she has never missed a day and took all the training last year. I told the lads that it would be mid-season in her three-year-old year before she 'd run and it's great to have a winner for Stanley (Watson) and Trevor (Stewart). Stanley has a summer house in Glengarriff so he said Killarney would be good and we aimed for that. P Twomey
