Noel Meade:- .I know I'm biased but I think it was the right decision. What probably made the decision was when Paul jumped the second-last he came over in front of him. You could say why didn't he (Cooper) go round him but he never actually had a chance to go around him because once Paul blocked him up, he had nowhere to go except to keep going straight. Rachael (Blackmore, on Amirite) came out and Paul went in (at the last) but I think he was the best horse. I'll have to talk to JP and Frank (Berry, McManus' racing manager) before I can say where he's going to go next because I don't know. Frank is away on holidays with the boss. I do think wherever he goes, he does need soft ground, that's essential.

The softer ground was a help to him as it slow things down a bit,. He is learning as he goes along but his jumping is still a bit sticky although he jumped when he wanted him. When he asked him to come up, he came up. He will improve as he goes along, he goes that long trip easily and loves that soft ground. I don't know where he goes next but we'll paddle on and see how we go.

He jumped so badly the last day, he wasn't having a cut at his fences at all, and Mark thought he sort of lost his bottle a bit. We thought that it was getting so late in the season that we'd maybe go back over hurdles and see how it goes. When I schooled him at home over hurdles he wasn't exactly showing me an awful lot but he jumped great for him today. I think the ground is a big factor with him. When he won his bumper in Naas he sprouted wings in it and he did the same today when he got going. He really came home. I haven't a notion where he goes next. He's in the Coral Cup and the County Hurdle. If he goes, the Coral Cup would be the one but it might not be easy after that. You'd imagine the way he did that he'd go to three miles.

It was a nice race for him. He’s so laidback - he just does whatever you want him to do,.

I was a bit disappointed with him at Leopardstown but Mark said he was very green. I don’t know where we will go next or what we will do but he’s a nice horse. He’s very laidback. He’s only just lobbing along until you want him and then he picks up. Mark said he didn’t think he was going anywhere and then he picked up when he asked him. I know he stays that (2m2f) but I’d say two miles is probably far enough for him. He’s bred to be quick enough.

We knew he was nice but with all the talk about everything else it sort of put us off, between Galileos and Dubawis and stuff like that we were starting to get edgy,. He surprised me a bit how well he quickened up. We had another one coming along and the lads were sort of thinking it's the other one we should have run but we obviously ran the right one. He's a nice horse. I was underbidder on him when he was sold as a yearling, Micky Maguire, Jason's brother, bought him for Joe Duke that owns him. When he was going into training they said they'd send him to me. We had him last spring and did a little bit with him. It works out well with those four-year-olds to do a little bit with them in the spring. I'd say he's quite a smart horse. He certainly won't be jumping, this spring anyway, so we'll look for another bumper. Eoin rides well. He's doing well with what he's getting and he's good value for 7lb.
