I'm full-time with Willie who works me hard but gives me loads of opportunities. I had my first ride for him at Dundalk a few weeks ago and it was a grand start. I'm 16, from Waterford and am with Willie since October. My father Ollie keeps a few horses and has a few for point to points. The horse has bad feet but is a grand honest horse and the young lad was good on him. I think it was vital to take 10lb off to give him a chance in that ground. The young lad works hard, he is a great horse for the apprentices to ride and they all get their chances.

He’s a grand horse and wins one every year. He’s just had problems with his feet. We had special shoes on him in Gowran and Billy just felt he wasn’t moving well and couldn’t grip the ground. He’s probably sore on the hard ground and more comfortable on his feet on that ground.

He's a grand horse, he's still a big shell of a horse,. I thought the handicapper was hard enough on him for winning a maiden but that's all hindsight now. He just likes that better ground and if the rain had come I wouldn't have run him. There are a few nice handicaps during the summer and I think he'll rattle off faster ground again. He did everything lovely, he was just a bit keen early on but it was his first time in a handicap and he'll learn a terrible lot from that.

He's a lovely horse, he's a big horse and just took his time,. He thrived on that quicker ground. He's a seven furlong horse but I just thought I'd take a chance here with the stiff finish. Nathan said he got a bit lonely in front. He's a big scopey horse and just loves that ground. When he ran in Tipperary it was probably a bit yielding and he probably didn't get home. He loved that though, travelled beautifully the whole way through the race. We'll see what the handicapper does, that's his third run now.
