He's a nice horse and everything had been going well with him all year. Basil (Holian, owner) is from Galway so going on there is a bit of a plan with him. It was a good run and the step up in trip definitely helped him.

It couldn't have worked out any better. He's a horse that always runs a good race and last year the ground was just too quick for him and he didn't perform,. I think he's a horse that will improve from that and he could end up getting into some of the nicer premier handicaps as the year goes on. That's as quick as he wants the ground and as the ground gets slower later in the year you'll see a better horse. Declan gave him a great ride, he was very strong on him at the end. A double is unbelievable and to get it for Basil as well makes it even more special. I have to thank the lads in the yard as well who put in so much hard work.

He’d good form last year and was placed twice in Galway. Basil Holian bought him and our plan is to go back there for something this year. He’s strengthened up a good bit and is a nice horse to have for the good handicaps. Kevin gave him a great ride and he suits him. He was placed in Galway on softer ground and stayed a mile well there. We’ll see what the handicapper does and he could run again before Galway or wait and maybe get in off a low mark in a good handicap.

I rode him in Dundalk last year, he is a big tall horse and is still a little bit raw. There was always going to be plenty improve and he handled that ground well and travelled into it well. You'd be happy with that.
