I think an awful lot of this horse. He got a really bad infection after he won in Fairyhouse and we had to hit him with antibiotics. I think it left a mark as it's taken me a long time to get his bloods right. He still wasn't 100 percent right when he ran in the Curragh but I think I'm back on the road now and I'm delighted with that. We'll see what the plan is now and we might get a call to sell him. John sent me off to buy yearlings and I think I bought more than he bargained for! That's why we had Sevenleft in the claimer (finished second and was claimed), we just have to lighten up (with numbers). I do think a lot of this horse, and he'd be one you'd love to hang on to, but we have to be realistic and if we get a decent offer he'll have to go.

After race at Fairyhouse Wed, 17th Jul, 2019 (1st)
I'm delighted. I thought Robbie gave him an absolutely gorgeous ride because I thought at one stage he was in trouble,. He said it just took him a while to get going and for the penny to drop. He said he absolutely loved that ground and he hit the line really well. Robbie said he's just a really nice horse. I didn't give him any big entries because until they won you can't really chuck them in. There are still lots of nice races and we might go for a winners of one because he still needs to learn a bit more. He's very well bred, he's Holy Roman Emperor, so maybe a bid will come in for him. We haven't sold a horse for a while and it's nice for the business — it takes the pressure off me. It's ultimately John's decision. We've always really liked him, he's a bonny little horse.
Ms Sheila Lavery
