I'm not sure if I was the first Irish guy to use Kieran in England and he rode for me at the November meeting last year in Cheltenham. I watched him in the UK and he has a good brain and is a really good horseman. There was a gap in the market here and he has come over and he is making the most of it. I see all the good lads are using him - Gordon (Elliott) and Gavin (Cromwell), he is very good value and won't have the 5lb for long more.

he had lost nothing in defeat in any of his runs but we were worried that he was creeping up the handicap. You can't take it away from the horse as he's been to every dance this winter. I'm sure we'll come back here and he'll probably end up at the finals day here. You'd love to have another 15 like him. He's some money spinner, genuine, straightforward and he trains himself. He's a lovely horse.

We knew he’d run well and he was unlucky last time in Galway where he got blocked everywhere. The time before that he was coming back off a break and was too keen and fresh,.

he came to the yard, we sweetened him up and he looked in good form during the week. He's a grand horse and there is no reason why he couldn't step up in trip again the way he stayed on there. I think he'd get a mile-and-six no bother or even two miles. I bought him to go hurdling but I thought we'd try and get a win with him on the Flat first. He has a lovely bit of size, a smashing horse. We've already schooled him over hurdles and he's a serious horse to jump.
