What can you say about the horse - he has been a fantastic servant. He has come from a low grade 45-65 handicapper, wondering could we win a race, to being here today winning this savage pot. Kildare Racing Club have had a fantastic run with us and Johnny Murtagh over the last year and this horse doesn't know when he is beaten. We came down here looking for prize-money and realistically didn't think we'd take it but we're on a roll at the moment. There are a few options open to him but that's nearly job done for the year really!

we thought he had improved coming here and we were looking for a good performance. We were slightly worried that the ground was a bit drier than we thought he’d want and Declan confirmed that but he put in a very good performance and he has improved. He’s learning about racing and after that I’d imagine he’ll stick to six. There are a few options open and we’ll see what mark he gets. We are in no rush and he’ll be a better horse next year. He’s in again here on Sunday but he would need rain.

After race at Roscommon Tue, 11th May, 2021 (1st)
We’re delighted with that and he’s progressed from his last run. He’s very headstrong and I was a bit worried when he got taken on and they pulled six or eight lengths clear. He just held on and Declan thinks we should go back to six furlongs with him. Hopefully he can win another one or two. Roscommon is not the place that you want to be stopping but in fairness he hung on. He’s a child’s horse at home but once you put a saddle on him he wants to go. He didn’t turn great around here and a straight six might suit him. I’m glad for the Kildare Racing Club as they supported me a good few years ago.
