On an evening when the punters definitely had the better of the exchanges, Hu Ha Jo became the fifth winning favourite or joint favourite (the other two races went to well-backed second market-choices). This fellow ran out a silk-smooth four and a half length victor of the concluding Waterford & Tramore Supporters Club Handicap Hurdle. Thu 14th AugThree-in-a-Row for Hutchinson
Her last runner, Miley Byrne was a winner at Roscommon on Tuesday night and Caroline Hutchinson sent out another two winners (a 55/1 brace) within ten minutes of each other, Hu Ha Jo (12s in the morning and 9s into 7s on track) scoring at Wexford in easy fashion under Conor Maxwell whilst it was altogether a tighter affair but Blue Express got the verdict at Cork in the hands of Alain Cawley. After race at Downpatrick Tue, 5th Jun, 2012 (1st)
Hu Ha Jo was unlucky here last time when a horse fell in front of him and I fancied him that day. I have him about a year and has had different owners but they've all walked away from him! The jockey Paul and his dad Myles O'Brien own him now and some of his previous owners thought he wouldn't get that trip, but he got it well. He is a sharp horse and he liked that track. The rain was a big help.
