He's been very well and he's enjoying it,. James was good on him as well, if anything he said he got to the front a bit too soon on him. He thinks the longer you wait the better. He's a lovely horse, very straightforward, and he's just on a good roll at the moment.

That was lovely. The key to him was that they would fly in front and Chris has the bottle to ride him that way, what a rider. He suits him down to the ground because he lets it happen and when they go fast, he is hitting top gear basically. He gets the trip well. He's not a horse that will break or be free up front, he warms into it. He's not slow, but he seems to make up the ground and arrive up behind them easily enough. The last night I might have been too nice to him and they went too slow in front of him. It is job done and it is a great prize tonight. It is fantastic for local men - David Hoey is a good friend of mine a long time and it's the first time he's had a horse in his colours, the Louth colours. Louth are flying as well!. I'll see what is on the Flat, I'll talk to the boys. Why wouldn't he run in a good handicap some day?. I think I would stay away from good to firm, he did have issues before and it took us a while to get him right. We'll try and do what is right by him.

It is great. We just gave this fella a spin on the beach and he was well, and then I gave him a spin on Skyrne gallops and he felt as good as he was on Monday morning. I just threw Chris up there and thankfully he won. He was clever enough and he dropped back further. He didn't win too far and he needs the blinkers. He's a nice horse if everything is right. He works well and he is a good horse. I would assume he will be up here again soon, I haven't looked any further.

he deserved it, he's had issues and a few injuries and we had to be careful but had more than enough ability to do that. Blinkers made him focus. The last day he should have challenged and he just rolled in behind a horse. I thought there is more to it than that and said we'd go with the blinkers. With most horses, but especially him, I like them dropped in and hope they go fast up front. It turned out to suit as he challenged early enough and stayed well. I had different things going on, have four or five riding out, two for breaking and don't have many runners.
