As a young horse he showed a lot of potential and he’s after coming back off three career threatening injuries. I’ve never had a winner in Listowel before and I’ve had plenty of seconds and thirds over the past 15 years. He was in earlier in the week and I didn’t run him because of the ground. I knew he was real well coming here and on the back of the run in Galway, I was expected a big run. Everything is a bonus with him now and luckily the last year and a half he’s been very good. We don’t over race him and we keep him fresh.

JJ was saying to keep doing what we're doing with him and not to rush him, . He said he will take even more time and he is a horse you could fry very quick as he is very highly strung. He said he had plenty left in the tank and when he gets out in front he will relax. He'll go for a small novice hurdle somewhere and if there is a Final (of the Series, at the Punchestown festival) we'll be there!. After his bumper run behind Felix Desjy he had a capped hock, which should have been a minor thing, but it got bad and he had to have minor surgery. We had to call a halt and attack it and he was then in a cast for six weeks. It's great to have him and hopefully we can build on today.

He was very good. We've always thought plenty of this fella. He had a couple of setbacks but he needed all the time he got. He's a big leggy horse, he's six-year-old now and I'd say he's still strengthening up. He's not the full horse yet. He had a lovely run in Listowel. We gave him plenty of time. He'll go for a maiden hurdle now. Win, lose or draw today he was going to go hurdling. We'll enter him up in a month's time all going well, if he's okay. He loved that kind of ground. I wouldn't like to run him on real heavy winter ground, not yet anyway.
