I couldn't believe who made that horse 14/1, it was a joke! We changed the way of riding him and he didn't come off the bridle at Down Royal, so I was wondering what I was missing - I couldn't understand it. He had gone off the boil after having a hard race behind American Mike last December and he loves the top of the ground. His half-brother won (Galop Marin) won four French Grade 1s. That chap (Prendergast) is in with me three days a week and this horse was his first winner as a conditional jockey at Down Royal. I left him on again today and it is great for him.

He's a funny horse, difficult to train,. He's free and hard on himself. He wouldn't be a horse you would punt on. He is going to be a lovely horse over a fence, he schools brilliantly. He'll go over fences now. He's a half-brother to a French Champion hurdle winner. Probably the ground today suited him. Being by Arcadio the ground was key today. Young Niall Prendergast gave the horse a cracking ride. He's a brilliant schooler and a brilliant cross-country rider. He didn't get that many opportunities and that is only his second ever winner. I quickly saw that this guy can ride. He's a good lad and a nice lad.

He is a nice horse and his half-brother (Galop Marin) has won four French Grade 1s. He is a smasher, Finny (Maguire) gave him a lovely ride and he won a bit snug. When he hit the rising ground he was really staying on again.
