Point Of Light justified his short price in the opening New Ross Maiden Hurdle at Wexford with a cosy victory in the hands of Niall 'Slippers' Madden. Wed 17th Mar
Making the running made all the difference. Andrew thought there wouldn't be much of a gallop and he did the right thing by going on. She stays well and loved the dig in the ground. She jumps those easyfix hurdles well and she is very genuine. Maybe she'll go handicapping now with Galway a possibility. It was a messy race when she ran in Ballinrobe last time.

I haven't got her very long. She kept galloping, she's not very fast and she is the same at home. Francis Casey (Peter Casey used to train her) said she was the same when they had her. She stays though and she'll get two and a half miles. We'll see now what the handicapper gives her.
