The hot favourite Arthur’s Kingdom was run down late on in the opening two-year-old maiden at Killarney as Ger Lyons’ newcomer Baby Zeus got up on the line to score by a nose under Colin Keane. The Footstepsinthesand gelding got motoring inside the final furlong to collar the heavily supported Ballydoyle-trained market leader (backed from 1/3 into 2/9 on course). Wed 17th Jul
After race at Galway Sat, 3rd Aug, 2019 (1st)
He did it nicely. He had a good run the last day (in third at Killarney). He is still quite green, quite raw. Plenty to learn still but he has ability. He is still raw and gawky. In an ideal world you'd like to get a lead on him but if I had done that he'd have gone too slow for his own good so I had to make the running on him. He stuck at it well and he'll learn plenty from it. The second horse (Delta Dawn) had a decent run the first day and would have learned a lot from that as well and I'm sure they are smart horses.
