It's a great day and they are two stalwarts. I hope she's alright as she's after giving herself a nasty over-reach. She's a great bit of stuff. She's improving away all the time and getting stronger, her work has been better this spring than ever for no reason in particular. Maybe she's just getting stronger. I knew she'd run very well and that she was in great form. Jack said she was a bit iffy over the first couple of fences but when she warmed up she was fantastic. She's qualified for a couple of trial races in Haydock next month, a stayers mares race and a stayers hurdle. That's where she'll go next, they are worth a few quid.

It was a brilliant performance from man and horse and Gavin gave her a great ride as usual,. She has only had four runs over fences and got an awful fall at Catterick and it knocked the stuffing out of her. We ran her afterwards at Limerick and she pulled herself up and wouldn't take part so I didn't know until she got down over the first couple today. The owners (Alamo Eight Syndicate) are from the UK and the first time I got to meet them was a couple of weeks ago in Cheltenham, even though they have her 18 months. Everyone was happy with her in Cheltenham but I was a bit disappointed and thought she was a little better than she ran. She bounced out of the race and we were taking a bit of a chance running here but the race cut up and I'm sure everyone was expecting it to be stronger. At the declaration stage, with Gavin claiming 7lbs, I thought she had a small chance and she put it all together today thank God. There are plenty options going forwards.

We were delighted with her in Limerick,. I had her in the amateur race tomorrow at Punchestown and just with the weight here, 9-9 after Gavin's claim, that's what made me come here. She did it well and she stays great. I said after she won in Limerick that you couldn't go far enough and all she does is stay. The young lad is riding great. The horse in the first and her were two particularly good rides for a claimer. I don't know where we go with her now but there are loads of options for her. She could go either over hurdles or fences now that we know she jumps so well.

it is great to be young, as it took a brave horse and brave young man. Both horse and jockey were very brave down over the last couple and it was absolutely the difference. She is a consistent mare so she isn't dropping in the handicap so it's not easy for her. She wants extreme trips and we'll try and find races at those trips. She is our first runner over the Christmas, it is great to have a winner at Limerick, and we have a few for the new year to look forward to.
