Michael Fitzgerald ended a six-month lean spell with a 188-1 double courtesy of Cottage Lady and Preswell Lad at Tramore.
Cottage Lady put the County Kilkenny trainer back in business when causing a 20-1 surprise in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle.
Tommy Treacy's mount looked booked for second until leader Silver Lily attempted to run out and lost all momentum at the last. Cottage Lady took over soon after and went on to win by three and a half lengths.
"That is a bit of a relief. This is a good, honest mare and she'll be better over further. We have no real plans," said Fitzgerald.
Preswell Lad (8-1) completed the brace in the Tramore Racecourse Supporters Club Handicap Hurdle.
Held towards the rear by Emmet Mullins, he made rapid headway and stayed on well to hold More Prisoners by a neck.
Fitzgerald said: "That is not the way to ride Tramore but we got away with it. This fellow has loads of ability but he has just been very frustrating. The better ground was a help."< Sherchanceit (13-2), who began her career with a third to Cousin Vinny in a bumper at Punchestown in February 2008, finally got off the mark in the www.tramore-racecourse.com Maiden Hurdle under Ruby Walsh.
