< Ask Vic (5-2 favourite) ran out a very easy winner of the M.J. Carroll ARRO Handicap Hurdle, the feature event on the final day of the Listowel Festival.
With just the four previous starts under her belt, Willie Mullins' mare was the least experienced in the line-up and had ground to make up when jumping the last with three or four ahead of her.
She quickened smartly when asked by Paul Townend, who eased her up once she sprinted to the lead to score with a length and a half in hand of Curragh Golan < Lean And Keen (11-2) made it two victories from as many starts over timber with a determined triumph in the Cashen Novice Hurdle.
A miler on the level, Sean Byrne's gelding proved his stamina for this discipline when striking at Cork and followed that up by seeing off the game Pyromaniac by a length and three-quarters.
British raider Me And Ben (8-1) defied top weight in the Clieveragh Handicap Chase.
This was the second trip across the Irish Sea for Fergal O'Brien's mare in as many months & ndash; she was a close-up third at the Galway Festival & ndash; and she took it up two out en route to a three-and-a-quarter-length defeat of Please Talk
Admittedly Plan A's absence meant that Blacklough s task in the Allman Contracts Limited Beginners Chase was made considerably easier, but the 4-7 favourite still impressed in beating It's All An Act by an easy four lengths.< Valours Minion was a couple of pounds out of the handicap in the Charlie Chute Memorial Handicap Chase, but that didn't matter as he supplemented his recent Galway success at odds of 5-1.< Waver (9-4) is still learning his trade but made it second-time lucky over timber in the John Lynch Memorial Maiden Hurdle, while class act Rebel Fitz made a victorious comeback in the Listowel Races Supporters Club Slan Abhaile (QR) Race.
