< Famous is set for a step up in class after losing her maiden tag with a stylish win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Leopardstown.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly is a full sister to dual Group One winner Mastercraftsman and she was sent off the 1-3 favourite to open her account.
Although this seven-furlong event fell some way short of her sibling's exploits, Famous impressed with an all-the-way win under Johnny Murtagh, holding Rosa Muscosa by three and a half lengths.
Ann Marie O'Brien, wife of the winning trainer, said: "I think we will either come back here for a Listed Race next week, or wait for the Debutante Stakes next month and go for that instead."
Murtagh was denied a quick-fire double as Kevin Manning steered the Edward Lynam-trained Decent Fella (4-1) to victory over Magic Mornings in the Monaloe Handicap.
Lynam said: "This horse might be all right. We will stick handicapping with him and hopefully he'll get a mile and keep improving."< Rose Hip and Worldly Wise were sent off the 13-2 joint-favourites for the Fernleigh Handicap and they duly fought out a thrilling finish.
Pat Smullen timed his challenge to perfection as he pushed Rose Hip to the front in the final few yards to gain a short-head verdict.
"The obvious target would be to come back here next week for another handicap," said winning trainer John Murphy.
"She is a genuine filly and hopefully she'll run in the Tote Mile in Galway."< Miss Gorica (5-2) made the most of the drop back from Pattern-race company to take the Clonkeen Race over six furlongs.
A winner at the Dubai Carnival in January, Joanna Morgan's charge had been fourth in Group Three company most recently, but was back in the winner's enclosure here with a half-length verdict over Leandros
