The Ger Lyons trained Wendla drops back in trip for the Group 3 Brownstown Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday evening.

A dual winner over a mile, including at the Foxrock track on her penultimate start, the Juddmonte owned filly failed to stay ten furlongs at the Curragh last month.

On her return to 7f on Thursday, Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said: "She just didn't stay (1m2f Group 3 Al Basti Equiworld International Stakes) at the Curragh, she has a lot of speed.

"We wanted to tick that box and that's fine, and he (Colin Keane) looked after her, and she'll go for the Brownstown all being well - back to 7f and around bends. She is made for it.

"100 per cent the long-term aim is the Matron Stakes (at Leopardstown in September)."
