Trainer John Murphy enjoyed a welcome turn when his Belle Chose landed the Ferrycarrig Handicap at Wexford today, providing jockey Johnny Fahy with his tenth career success and his first this season.
Afterwards Murphy, best known as the trainer of Champion Chase winner Newmill, reported “Belle Chose is a nice scopey filly and hopefully will improve from this although we'll keep her in her own grade for the time being. I bought her for $11,000 as a yearling at Newmarket.”
