Crest Of A Wave stayed on well inside the final furlong to land her second career success at Dundalk in the first division of the ten furlong handicap.
There were plenty in with chances going to the furlong marker with 3/1 favourite Everyhouronthehour gaining a narrow lead.
He was soon tackled by Crest Of A Wave and the Charles O'Brien-trained mare edged ahead in the closing stages for a half length win.
The easy-to-back 14/1 winner had won over course and distance in early December and sixth on her most recent visit here last month.
McCullagh said:- “Things just have to fall her way. She loves a solid pace and they went good and hard. When they start to fade she then gets a bit of heart and I was able to cajole her to the line.
“She’s a bit of a quare hawk. She can be keen but today they went hard and she gave me a great ride. The race fell apart a bit the last few furlongs and she won well today.”
