Watering continues ahead of Day 5 of Galway Festival Day 5 of the Galway festival looks set to be run on perfect racing ground, with the current going described as good on the national hunt course and good to yielding on the flat. With a dry morning forecast, watering will continue at Ballybrit. The first of an eight race card gets underway with the Guinness Galway Tribes Handicap Hurdle at 5.00. Here the Tony Martin trained Nibiru looks to hold leading claims for Galway Hurdle winning owner, John Breslin. A recent winner on the flat at Fairyhouse, the seven-year-old was unlucky off an identical mark here last year. The feature race tonight, the Guinness Handicap is due off at 6.35. Despite the presence of some in-form horses, a chance is taken on Yafordadoe to cause an upset for the Gavin Cromwell yard. A previous course winner, he ran very well in a similar grade to this at the Curragh on his penultimate start and will love the Galway hill. Later in the evening, Rockbury Lad can enjoy a welcome change of fortune in the Arthur Guinness Handicap(7.40). The Michael O'Callaghan trained gelding never saw daylight from a wide draw here on Monday and that run deserves upgrading.
