WINDSOR WASHED OUT

Windsor`s final meeting of the season tomorrow has been abandoned following a 9.00am inspection today at the English course.

Clerk of the course Chris Stickels said: 'We`ve had to abandon. The course is still waterlogged in places.

'We have had three inches of rain since the weekend. The course is not raceable today and there are no prospects for any improvement.'

Meanwhile Towcester`s meeting tomorrow survived a 7.30 inspection this morning.

However, there will be a further inspection at 7.00 tomorrow morning because of the poor forecast.

Clerk of the course Hugo Bevan said: 'We are just about raceable today. The track has dried out a lot.

'In view of the forecast, which is not good, we will hold a further inspection at 7.00am tomorrow.

'It really depends entirely on how much rain we get in the next 24 hours. The course wouldn`t stand a great deal of rain.

'The going is heavy, soft in the straight.'
