Norman Williamson survived an injury scare at Wetherby today and remains on course to ride Direct Route in Saturday's Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot.
The jockey was stood down by the doctor at the West Yorkshire course after taking a heavy fall from Macgeorge in the Monkton Chase.
The jockey lay prone for a few moments after the tumble but it soon emerged that he was only winded.
Williamson's agent Dave Roberts said: "I spoke to him about half an hour after the race and he said he was fine.
"He was just stood down for the rest of the day but he's going to ride at Folkestone tomorrow.
"There were no problems, he just said he was a bit winded."
Martin Pipe today booked Rodi Greene to step into the shoes of Tony McCoy in the £50,000 contest.
The jockey will maintain his partnership with the champion trainer's Potentate as McCoy has taken the mount on Nordance Prince for Venetia Williams.
Greene, whose career has been revitalised since he joined up with Pipe in 1998, won Wincanton's Mid Season Chase on Potentate over Christmas.
"Mr Pipe has booked Rodi to ride Potentate on Saturday," said the jockey's agent Kevin Winterton.
"Rodi is on course for his best ever season and he won on Potentate at Wincanton last time."
Greene has ridden 17 winners to date this term, 14 for Pipe, and his form this season helped sway Pipe towards letting him retain the ride.
Pipe said: "He won on him last time at Wincanton and he's riding really well at the moment so it's been decided that he keeps the mount in the big race with Tony opting to ride Nordance Prince."
The going at Ascot is currently described as good to soft on the chase course, soft on the hurdles course.
