Norman Williamson has opted to partner Decoupage in the Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy on Tuesday as the Cheltenham going continued to dry out today.
The jockey's decision ends days of speculation as to whether he would partner Charlie Egerton's charge or ride the Venetia Williams-trained Bellator.
But after walking the course Williamson said: "I ride Decoupage in the Arkle. He's good on this sort of ground and that is what has swayed me.
"It was a difficult decision to make as both he and Bellator are two cracking horses and I just hope I've chosen right."
Egerton played down reports that Decoupage could switch to the Queen Mother Champion Chase, saying: "He runs in the Arkle and I only left him in the other race in case things changed, but I've just walked the track and everything's spot-on for him."
Williamson has also picked up the ride on Architect in the Elite Racing Club Triumph Hurdle for trainer Nicky Henderson.
Henderson said: "I think as it stands, Mick Fitzgerald will be on Mister Banjo and Norman will ride Architect and I'll be in touch with agent, Dave Roberts, to find a jockey for my other runner, Regal Exit."
Henderson also stated that he will be two-handed in the Cathcart Challenge Cup Chase where he intends saddling last year's winner Stormyfairweather and Makounji.
He said: "If they both run Mick (Fitzgerald) might be on Makounji as she's in form."
