WELD CONSIDERS SINNDAR REMATCH

Grand Finale, the only horse to beat Sinndar, could reoppose the Vodafone Derby winner at the Curragh next month.

Dermot Weld is considering a tilt at the Budweiser Irish Derby with the colt, who inflicted the only defeat to date on John Oxx's three-year-old when winning the Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown in April.

The Curragh showpiece is also the target for Sinndar, who was conceding the winner 7lb when going down by a head that day.

Grand Finale has not run since but Weld said today: 'He has had no problems. He is a lightish horse and we have just given him some time.

'No decision has been made over his next race but obviously he is a possible for the Irish Derby.

'But I think Sinndar is a much-improved horse.'
