Primo Valentino has arrived in Germany in preparation for his run in the Benazet-Rennen at Baden-Baden on Friday.
The colt, winner of the last year's Middle Park Stakes, reverts to six furlongs in this Group Three prize having finished seventh in the one-mile Sagitta 2000 Guineas behind King's Best.
Trainer Peter Harris said today: "He's over there now, he went over last night.
"He travelled well and Pat Eddery will ride him."
The three-year-old, who set a strong pace at Newmarket before lack of stamina told, bypassed the Duke Of York Stakes 12 days later in favour of this contest.
"It came a bit soon after the Guineas and we didn't want him to have a hard race," Harris said.
"Even when the petrol ran out at Newmarket he still plugged on.
"Also he would have to have carried an 8lb penalty at York but he doesn't have any penalties here."
Primo Valentino is currently 8-1 joint-second favourite for the Darley July Cup at Newmarket with Coral.
