Up fourth while Homecoming disappoints

The Aidan O'Brien trained Up ran a cracker to finish a good fourth in the Grade 2 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Churchill Downs this evening.

Ridden by Ryan Moore the daughter of Galileo didn't get the clearest of runs on the home straight and had to be switched wide for room.

She then stayed on well under pressure inside the final furlong to take fourth behind the winner Stephanie's Kitten.

O'Brien said afterwards: "Ryan (Moore) was very happy with the filly. She finished well and he said she'd be a lovely filly for next season."

Meanwhile in the Grade 1 Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies race O'Brien's Homecoming Queen couldn’t live with the pace and she finished last of the fourteen runners behind the winning favourite My Miss Aurelia.
