Morning Run maintained her unbeaten record as she made it five from five in the Grade 3 EBF Lough Construction Mares Novice Hurdle, scoring under Ruby Walsh for Willie Mullins and owner Henry Murphy.
The five-year-old daughter of King’s Theatre won three bumpers before winning on her hurdling debut at Tipperary earlier this month.
Sent off the 8/15 favourite this afternoon she led after the second and eased clear after two out.
She made a bad mistake at the last but she quickly regained her composure and went on to score easily by seven and a half lengths. Carrigmoorna Rock (9/2) finished second under David Casey for Robert Tyner while Melbourne Lady was a further seven and a half lengths back in third under Mattie Bowes for Paddy Fegen.
Willie Mullins said afterwards: "She's improving all the time. She's a very slick jumper and is very sharp. She was a bit novicey at the last.
"We'll keep upping her in grade. She's entitled to make the jump to Grade 2. We'll keep her to mares' races."
