Oxalido followed up his course success from nearly three weeks ago in the Brodericks Electrical Handicap Hurdle again with Andrew McNamara in the saddle. He was 20/1 twenty days back but the style of that success saw his odds shorten this time from 4/1 into 11/4.
Up eight pounds in the handicap for today, the French-bred overcame that inconvenience and his trainer Seamus O'Donnell said, "I was afraid of the ground but I had someone walk it and they told me that it wasn't too bad. I'm glad that last shower of rain held off until as late as it did." (EM)
