Night Alliance was produced with a perfectly timed run by Paul Townend to take the 2m5f handicap hurdle at Limerick in good style.
The Donie Hassett-trained gelding hit the front before the last and stretched away from his rivals for a ten-length success over Red Basil
"The bit of nice ground made the difference. Davy Russell rode him at Navan and said he couldn't get through the tacky ground," said Hassett.
"He handled it well today and we're pleased with that."
