Paul Townend inflicted further pain on bookmakers when completing a double on Watchurhouse in the Guillemene Maiden Hurdle. He had earlier scored on Edward O'Grady's Indian Spring and this time he joined forces with his boss, Willie Mullins, to bring-up his near 6/1 brace.
The Cork teenager had full confidence in Watchurhouse all the way, led before the last, and the chestnut (2s into 6/4) went away to beat his main market-rival, Ballymahon by three and a half lengths.
Watchurhouse became the third winning favourite of the day to go with a 7/2 shot, from four races at Tramore. (EM)
