Top class JNwine Chase in prospect

A top class field of seven have been declared for the Grade 1 JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal tomorrow afternoon.

The contest over 3m has gone for export the last four years in-a-row and could do so again this year with two horses making the journey across the Irish Sea.

Midnight Chase who was last seen finishing fifth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup behind Long Run will make his seasonal reappearance for his trainer Neil Mulholland while the Paul Nicholls trained The Nightingale will bid to follow up on his win over the course at this meeting last year.

Dougie Costello will ride Midnight Chase while Noel Fehily is set to partner The Nightingale.

The home challenge looks very strong with RSA Chase winner Bostons Angel, Champion Chase victor Sizing Europe and Punchestown & Aintree Festival winner Quito De La Roque all set to do battle.

Bostons Angel who won three Grade 1 Novice contests last season will be partnered by regular pilot Robbie Power, while Sizing Europe who was last seen winning at Gowran in October will be ridden by Andrew Lynch.

Quito De La Roque who will be aiming for his fifth win in-a-row will be ridden by Davy Russell.

Rare Bob for Dessie Hughes and Coolcashin for Michael Bowe complete the line up.

Paddy Power bet: 5/2 Quito De La Roque, 11/4 Bostons Angel, 4/1 The Nightingale, 9/2 Sizing Europe, 6/1 Midnight Chase, 25/1 Rare Bob, 33/1 Coolcashin.
