A pre-race Sale of 11 horses at Leopardstown today yielded no less than E2,000,000 in turnover, topped by J.P. McManus' purchase of smart Flat performer Timiyan, for a whopping E470,000.

Timiyan's sale was covered 're-live' by RTE and the sale made for fascinating viewing as bids climbed higher and higher. McManus, at 470k, was last man standing for the 104 rated gelding, whose career likely lies over hurdles.
